The $40/Month AI Stack
This is the exact system from the video: how to run every top AI model from one place, Claude Code, so you pay a fraction of the price and get better results than sticking to a single AI. Read it once, set it up once, and you never have to leave your one harness again.

Use every model for the job it is best at.
AI is getting more expensive, not cheaper. Most people pick one model and either overpay or hit their limits and stop. The fix is simple: use all the models, each one for the job it is best at, and command them from a single place so it feels like talking to one assistant.
A harness is just the app you talk to.
Claude Code becomes the command center.
Mine is Claude Code, the official Anthropic plugin. I run it inside Antigravity, Google's version, because it is fast and practical, but it is still Claude Code.
Think of Claude Code as a chatbot that can actually do things on your computer, not just tell you how. Once the routing rule is in place, it can plan, build, review, and delegate without you bouncing between tabs all day.
Fable 5: the brain
Use it to plan the project, not to do all the work. It is by far the most expensive model, so make the expensive step count.
- Ask it to write the full step-by-step plan.
- Ask it to make the plan drift-proof so cheaper models cannot wander off it.
- Ask it to write about 5% of the code as a sample and teach the other models how it would write the rest.
Output: the one expensive planning step. Everything after it is cheaper.
Codex / GPT-5.6 Sol: the coder
This does the actual coding. It scores higher on coding than Opus, about 88.7 vs 81, and costs a lot less.
- Use OpenAI Plus for a ton of usage.
- When GPT-5.6 is out, medium or high is plenty for everyday coding.
- It is roughly 4x cheaper than Fable 5 for the work that does not need the top planning brain.
Opus 4.8: automations and skills
Claude is better and more flexible for non-coding work: browsing the web, running your skills and automations, and giving smarter overall answers. Use Claude for the run-my-business tasks.
Gemini 3.1 Pro: the second pass
After Codex or Opus writes code, have a different model check it for bugs, glitches, and security holes. They find flaws in each other's work every single time.
Cost: Gemini runs on the $20/month Google plan, which is worth it for Drive storage alone.
DeepSeek or Kimi 2.7 Code: the fallback
When you run out of everything else, drop to these. They are head to head on coding, but DeepSeek is about half the price of Kimi, about $2.19 vs about $4 per 1M output tokens, so reach for DeepSeek first.

Never trust one model's code
This one habit removes most bugs and security flaws before they ship.
The CLAUDE.md routing idea automates it
Claude Code can read a global CLAUDE.md every time you talk to it. The free method is the routing idea: add your own rule that tells it which model should handle each job.
When PLANNING: use Fable 5 and ask for a drift-proof step-by-step plan. When CODING: use Codex / GPT-5.6 Sol for implementation. Always run a SECOND PASS with a different model before shipping. If Opus wrote it, ask Codex and Gemini to review it. If Codex wrote it, ask Gemini and Opus to review it.
Manual triggers: say "ask codex", "have Gemini check this", "delegate to Kimi", or "ask deepseek".
The big unlock: build apps with no API key.
Normally, to build an app that uses AI, a clipping tool, a content poster, or anything similar, you connect an API key and pay per use.
Instead, you can have the app use your own subscription on the tools you already pay for, especially cheap ones like Gemini 3.1 Pro. Same power, no extra API bill.
